Thinking about going abroad?

You may be considering taking a group of young people abroad, but are unsure of exactly what is involved in organising a trip?

The information in the factsheet Thinking of Going Away provides an outline of the areas you will need to consider. It will help you to research your ideas and start your planning. Why are you thinking of going abroad? Before planning your trip you need to be clear of the purpose of your visit. What will the group gain from the experience?

Support

The International Links Scheme

International contact helps young people to develop awareness of life outside of their own immediate sphere, and assists them in recognising and respecting the differences that exist between the nations and races of the world.

The International Links Scheme offers a means of communicating with other Scouts abroad and provides an international experience without necessarily having to leave town

Visit the Scout website for further details: http://scouts.org.uk/supportresources/2849/international-links-scheme?cat=52,206&moduleID=10
